    Aero options

I've been tracking my ACR while my '13 is getting built at Calvo and have got used to all that aero. Just broke the Nasa TT1 record by 1.3 seconds at a track/config I've only done once before and my car is 500 lbs heavy for the TT1 class. Needless to say the aero works lol.
What are our options for Aero on these Gen 5's? I priced the factory ACR-E stuff, it comes out to $44,000 LOL.
The TA 2.0 stuff just doesn't have enough downforce to make it worth it.

    Autoform shows this stuff- http://www.autoformgroup.com/index.p...162&Itemid=784
But i doubt we'll ever see it, if we will it will be years down the road. They don't answer any emails so hard to tell, if Autoform is reading this please reply.

http://xtremesupercars.com/ has talked about doing ACR-E copies for awhile, and has been testing a promising looking front splitter, but I don't think any of this will be available for a long time either. I'd buy it right now if it was.

Viper Parts USA has a rear wing listed on their site- http://www.viperpartsusa.com/ (click the gen 5 page and scroll down). This wing doesn't look like it provides near as much downforce as the ACR wing..

Anyone know of anything else? Any companies I listed want to chime in? Or any companies I missed making anything that will be released soon?

It seems like so much stuff you see for the Gen 5 is just vaporware.

APR is working on some aero, they told me it should provide 1000lbs of downforce without a diffuser.

That's the problem, everybody is "working on" aero for the Gen 5, but nothing ever comes to market. I just emailed them though, hopefully they are for real. Thanks!

ARD makes a splitter lip to make the TA1 front splitter equal to the TA2.

It's probably not what your looking for but the info is here for others now.

Haha I hear you on that. They have a test car there and it looks like they've been fitting parts on it already, if that's any indication. Let us know what they say, I'm interested in some aero as well.

Check with Aeromotions. They are a bunch of engineers out of MIT and are in Cambridge, MA. They make active aero wings. I had once talked to them about putting their wing on my 06 Coupe but then I sold the car for a G4 ACR. They have split wings that have a left and right section where each section operates independently depending on turning direction. Wing flattens out to reduce drag on straights and goes full up under braking. They would need to fabricate uprights for the Viper but otherwise I don't see why their wing wouldn't work. http://aeromotions.com/ Here's a link to their split wing on a GT-R, http://aeromotions.com/products/niss...ssan-gt-r-r35/

Wow, that stuff is wicked. The computer that comes with it works with your steering input, speed input, braking input etc and adjusts automatically. That's freakin' nuts! I emailed them, I'll update you guys if they contact me back. When I click on their corvette section it doesn't show any products..

When I had spoken with them years back about my Gen 3 they were very interested in doing a setup. They might need access to a car though for measurements. I'm sure someone in the New England club would be willing to help out.

I happen to have one of Waynes Gen V Splitters on the front of my car. I did a writeup on it last June. I like it a lot.

Ok, I emailed them, they replied "As far as the wing the bases are in the mold production phase as we speak. The airdam and the canard have just only finished prototyping. These will be next to be in line for molds to be made for these parts."

Xtreme is indeed making the splitter that Steve911 is using. It's $3500. Aeromotions responded and said "We don't have a specific fit kit, but I don't see why we couldn't get you squared away."
So that is an option right there, using Aeromotions active wing with Xtreme's front splitter..

The split wing Aeromotions wing would be way cool on a Viper. Reduced drag on the straights, aero braking, and active aero for the turns. Nice.

Much cheaper than ACR wing. The ACR wing, end plates and stanchions are $23K
