This is a rather old thread but has recently become very relevant to me. Just arrived home with my newly purchased 99 RT10. It needs new tires so I was wondering what tire/wheel combination to go with for the best looks. The car has stock suspension and i do not want to lower it because of speed humps throughout my neighborhood. What is the updated consensus on the best tire/wheel sizes for a GEN II to fill up the space in the wheel wells? The top photo is the rear wheel/tire on my RT10. Want it to look more like the bottom photo which is on my GT350.

Be cautious on lowering the car too much ,as this has been an issue we have had to address with owners for years. Lower it too much with tire changes and then the car eats into the fender well liners and they need replaced. The replacement is not too bad if you don't mind a second mortgage on your house, ha. That said you should have no problem switching to newer Viper rims with a 18/19 setup if you keep the car at stock height.

Thanks Bill, that's what I thought. Have no desire to lower the ride height for reasons stated above. Now begins the quest for the best looking set of wheels to put on a light silver metallic RT10. I'm thinking lots of chrome!
