    Anyone do aftermarket CF airbox

Title says it all. It would be nice to get rid of that plastic box and get a CF one in there...

Our Gen 5 Carbon Fiber air box is in testing and should go into production soon
It will be available just like our Fuel rail covers with the V-10 painted in your choice of colors

    Wayne,
You are very humble, that is a complex part. And as usual, priced exactly right I love my Extreme parts...

I have been patiently waiting for a CF airbox for over 5 years now. I can't wait! A little eye candy and I am sure it's lighter than the stock piece.

  16. #16
Oh Yes. I'm in for this piece. You make the nicest parts Wayne.

I am currently making a carbon fiber exterior for my DSE intake heat shield.....this piece will go nicely with it.

That thing looks awesome! Is the price going to be for Upper and lower airbox or just the cover(top)? If it is the whole box that price is not out of line at all!

Currently, It's just the Top cover. We will be testing it at the NASA runway facility Feb 17-18, We will keep you posted. Price is set at 1000.00

Which ones are you interested in? DSE already makes the splitter and diffuser. There is already a CF wheel arch vent. Dive planes are fairly easily available. Which ones are you referring to? I think the best thing that Xtreme could do is the vents on the front hood. Those plastic pieces are awful and they should make ones that have a carbon base ring and then integrate some good quality powder coated wire to go across this with maybe 3/4" space between the wires. That way one doesn't need to remove them at the track but with the wide space between the wires you still get air released. Basically the wire would be there to keep things like leaves maybe falling into the holes/gaps. That's all you need I think

They only make the extensions. Nobody makes the wing...

That being said i have no interest in ACRE parts. Will buy the airbox lid and the hood vents if they make them!

If the lower box was CF, would it help lower the IAT at all? Looks awesome!
