ok,so everyone leaves for Exxon at 0830 and from Exxon we will leave in 2 separate waves. Got it.

Well, those that come from other areas that meet up at the Cracker Barrel (Campbell Station Rd, Farragut, TN - an older tradition) will eat (approx 8:30am), and then leave out from there in time to be at the Exxon in Tellico Plains by the appointed time. It is less than an hour and a half drive to the Exxon, from that location.
Would a non-viper be able to drive the dragon with us on Friday morning or is it restricted to Vipers only? We have a friend that lives in the area, is a professional race instructor, and was hoping to drive it with our group in a turbo Miata. Thanks.
Its a public road so I don't see why not. Two years ago 2 Hellcats and a Corvette were with us. I think the Corvette couple had an issue with their Viper days prior. Just a bit of a buzzkill wanting to see Vipers and there's an odd car in front or behind taking away from the experience. And I'm talking about the random blue mustang that jumped in front of me for about 5 miles going 20 mph the whole time.
I agree with you totally, mostly if you want a photo from your drive on the Dragon, to see your Viper with something other than other Vipers...but as you said it is a public road.

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the quick responses.
VENEMUS ready to go! Fast, early group... IM IN 😈😈
I'm crashing this party... in the figurative sense. I'll be down for the Dragon, on a few weekday mornings when it runs fast and the bikers try to keep up. I'll try to make the parade. Hope it's not a washout like last year!
I have determined to drive the speed limit - everyone will have a map - I suppose that they will be free to pass me after we leave the Gatlinburg escort on Saturday headed to the Valley. Friday? Same deal from the Exxon. All 'official' drives will strictly obey all speed and safety laws. Again, safe, legal, intelligently calculated passing is encourag...er...allowed. And yes that was me, i just sat on the whoopee cushion.
No posing here. Come early to the Gap or late on a weekday... Try to keep up! lol
That's pretty quick......

wow, we're up to 90 !! good
Sub 10 is not do-able without disrespecting the double yellows, particularly in a car (prove me wrong). I know that road well enough to believe it's better suited to fast bikes and smaller cars. I'd love to see a viper do it sub 10! (not gonna happen unless they close the road) .......
cheers
it's been done.. in a car....
yup, that's who I was talking about ,![]()
