    New member SSG 2008

Hi guys, my name is Matt.

I am from South Florida. I just picked up my first Viper. I pleased to discover (after joining the forums.) that a member on here used to own the car, and the dealer is also an enthusiast on this site-- so that was a great surprise; and i'm glad to know that the snake was in good hands-- and that my dealer is top of the line and active on the forums. I've had a Challenger SRT8, and Camaro SS in the past-- but can't wait till my dream car lands.

ETA: The only mods I have planned are the 2" lowering kit. Woodhouse is installing it which is a big relief-- I am 6'5" and always figured the Viper was too small until I "test fitted" myself in a 2008 locally.

    Matt.

Welcome, the GEN IV is pretty much a bullet proof car. Window regulators can fail and 6th gear is useless. Us GEN IV guys call it the last of the drivers cars with no nannies on board.

    welcome

Thanks Bruce, that's a beautiful car you have there I love the blue and black. Bruce, I've driven plenty of sticks on buddies cars-- I just never had a stick in my past cars. I look forward to working the 6speed full time

Hey Matt, great choice, not that I'm biased or anything. I'm in south Florida also, Englewood, south of Sarasota. Maybe I'll see you at one of the local car events sometime. Enjoy your new Snake!

Lucky for the new owner, Mike the previous owner already had the trans upgraded with the better 5th and 6th gear ratios!

As a past owner of the same exact car, I can tell you that you have a great car (and I might be biased - but the best color). I still miss my green - never let it go. : )

Welcome to the VOA. Glad to have you!

P.S. 2" lowering kit makes a massive diff on that car. I'm 6'4" and it made for a great life even with the top up.

Welcome to the SSG family! I absolutely love my SSG. It wasn't necessarily the reson I bought my GEN IV BUT its a great "side effect." Whenever I take the car anywhere I always get asked "Is that a custom color?" People can't believe that it rolled out of the factory that way.

    My car befor her transformation...
