    New Viper owner in Tennessee

This summer I purchased a 2010 ACR from John Gastman at Roanoke Motors - he and his staff were really great to work with. It is GTS Blue with a large silver center stripe. My wife and I enjoyed the 450mi drive back from Roanoke, Ill to Brentwood, Tn. My wife was behind me and was laughing at the reactions of drivers as they noticed the viper! I am loving this car, it handles great and attracts lots of attention at the local car shows. I met other viper owners this summer/fall at car shows in the area and several were members of VOA and encouraged me to join, so I did so today.
The forum is very helpful and I have identified several "wish list" items for my car.

Congrats and welcome to the club. I hope you plan on participating in the Tail of the Dragon event June 1-4 so we can check out the car. The event will be based out of Gatlinburg and It's anticipated there will be between 150 and 200 Vipers this year. You can find info on the Tennessee or Carolina Sub-forums. Also, the FB page is excellent. WELCOME!

Welcome Rand to the TN area - there are a few running around in these hills.
Joel usually sends an invite out for the Cars and Coffee in Franklin for the first Sat of every month (once the season starts) It is unofficially exotic(s) weekend. It is very cool when a few of the vipers roll in together.
    Hope to cross paths soon.

Hey Rand, congratulations! Welcome aboard. Great cars + great peeps = great forum.

It's a lot of fun to watch the people in approaching/surrounding cars. One day a little 2/3 year old, walking with his mother, just STOPPED!!! ..... I could see him point and say "whooooooa" as we slowly drove by. Man, what a cool feeling....for both of us ....I mean.

Tuners, kids, cops, Russians; heck, everyone likes a nice Viper, even if they won't admit it.
Before long you'll get used to all the stopping and staring. You'll get used to all of the Beemers, Audis and Hondas that want make a name for themselves. All of the pics and videos being taken will grow old and ..ROTFLMAO, who am I foolin'? HA!!! Of course you won't ever get used to it, it just keeps gettin better and better and alooooot more fun.

    You'll be sportin' wood and a permanent-grin.

Have fun, my friend, have fun!!!

    Be well

    Jer

Thank you - Vipers are exception al cars and I have to believe they will appreciate in value given 2017 is the last year of production.

Thank you! I wanted either a blue or grey/silver car and found this one that was a little of both!
