I thought the last suit comment was great. Those welds are a bit worrisome...

I'm pretty sure it's "Viper enough" for me!

If you want flappy paddles and a tampon holder, buy a 911

Haha wow I feel like they were really trying their best to roast it

You have to realize this is coming from a guy who charges $150,000 for a Toyota Landcruiser.

I will agree with him on the welds. These cars have the worst workmanship in welding I've seen on a modern day car. My 2000 ACR has the same low quality welds. It's really strange to me that this was never addressed. Clearly these frames are proof that robotic welding is a much better choice than a drunk, don't give a #$%& welder.

    A) Yeah those (and my) welds are garbage.

    B) Apparently the concept of a good handling well balanced street drivable track monster goes over their head.

    C) I'm surprised he could see out of the front windshield the way he had the steering wheel tilted so far up like that. It probably felt like driving a race tractor.

You can tell the two of them have no business being around a Viper when they are complaining about cast arms, "the guy who sketched the car" and then the door handle functionality that has been the same for... ever... Along with hood release cable location, underbelly pans, and the drone and lack of punch when you don't even rev the damn thing out to redline.

I could make a sandwich inbetween those shifts. "Not Viper enough" Pa....lease...

Let's see him build better for the same price.

If you're going to criticize something at least know wtf you are doing with it in the first place. That iPhone flashlight was perfect.

Too many of these reviewers simply don't understand the mission of the Viper. Some complain its too raw, too hot, too hard to get into, whatever. Other complain it isn't raw enough they want it to be like the original Gen 1 with no windows, AC, decent stereo, etc. Bunch of bozos. I thought the review was going to be ok at first. "How did they get this car through a major manufacturer?" "How did they do it for $130K?" etc. Then it got to "the control arms look like they are off any Dodge product." etc.

    Agreed!

I like how he pointed out back when he was talking about the exhaust droning. lol

These guys are the definition of "dilettante" - A person(s) prone to become mildly involved with or superficially interested in subjects instead of developing any specific skill or knowledge. Often used to describe amateur or wanna-be artists. Or car "reviewers" on social media.

Seriously are the fing control arms supposed to be polished?! FFS

I'd rather they were. The man is an aesthete...I get that.

At the end of the day I thought he was quite generous...kept saying how he had no idea how they offered so much for the money. Was very complimentary of the design and the interior fit and finish as well.

How come we can never get a good review of the car?

How come we can never get a review of the car by someone who actually owns a Viper?

They NEVER talk about what the Viper excels at. Only its flaws.

    Total Bullshit.

Dodge needs to quit sending stripped cars. The reviews are always the same, and these pansies want the sound deadening and stereo, why not give it to them?

I can picture that pansy in a Ferrari California convertible....with the top down. ...sipping star bucks...in auto mode....next to his partner...

What are you talking about? He mentioned the car has too much grip with over 640 horsepower....oh wait, he meant that as a flaw -_-

He does have a point about the welds. Some of the stuff I've seen under the car when it's on my lift is pretty horrendous.
And the door handles drive me nuts, lol. I'm always leaving smudges on the car. On a GTS-R blue car they are very apparent, on a white, silver, or lighter color car you wouldn't see them.

Given the horrible reviews I think we all got duped by FCA. Can we get our money back; let's sign a petition

Clear film on the handles does help.

I actually never thought of that. The car will probably have to go back to have the hood clearbra replaced in February. It's already chewed up from one weekend at Sebring. So I'll have my clearbra guy try this.
    Thanks!

I thought it was a decent review until he complained about it not being Viper enough. It was as raw as the gen 1 he would have complained about it not evolving. The comment about all pieces being a work of art on a Pagani was stupid. Sure for a million bucks I'd want that too. For $130k I just expect performance which is what we got. The welds did look bad.

At the end of the day, I love this car for all its great qualities and even it's few flaws. There is just nothing like it and I'm glad to own one of the last.
