    Redlinegoods

    Hello all -

Has anyone redone the center console, shift and e-brake boots with a leather kit from redlinegoods.com? I think their piece glues to the console. I was thinking about looking for an old cracked console to try it, but wondering anyone has done it and what they thought.

    Thanks,

    Schristo

I have their shift and e-brake boots on my GEN II. They used my OE boots as their model. I like them very much. The boots glue to their own frames that attach under the console. I did this for them a few years ago...

Just did mine, they came out great.

THey attach to a ring that goes underneath your bezel. The piece is there now, you already have it. You have to remove it carefully as 2 of the plastic "bolts" broke off. I was putting my pieces on a new bezel piece so I was ok, but be careful when you do it.

Then the new piece staples to the ring. (I had to put smaller staples in mine cause I had 1/2" in there and they went all the way through the ring. Glue would work too, I guess.

Then the ring mounts up against the bottom of the bezel. Took me about 45 min. I have a Gen III but im sure it's pretty similar.

The pieces are great and I'm glad I did it. Black with red stiching.

Any pics of the leather on the center console of a gen 1?
