    Black TA 28 33

Anyone on here the former owner, or know anything about the black TA currently on EBay? Looks to be pretty clean with less than 2K miles.

Funny you ask... I know for a fact that it would look amazing in your garage!

On a serious note it does not look like it has made the TA list on this forum.... I just went through 26 pages, lol!

That would look rather nice in my garage wouldn't it?! Lol. I was hoping the former owner was on here and could provide some details on the car.

Good looking car, if you like black. Too much upkeep for me.
Which car are you talking about? The one on Ebay has under 2K miles on it.

Didn't see that there were two black TAs on eBay. My comments still stand. I'd rather see the engine with over 10K miles on it. I don't know of any cars that have blown engines after 10K miles. If there are any they were way fewer of them.

As a prospective Gen V buyer, I agree with that philosophy, with the exception of the '13-14 cars that have the 10 year powertrain warranty.

Truth! OP, I'd pay more for a stock car with only r29 issued if you find one. Not saying others are not worthy, but a higher mileage, stock r29 car will have very low risk of blowing IMO.

They have, and they've been mentioned here.
All recalls appear to be done and up to date.https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls.html

Do you have a link to that TA thread? I just did a search, but can't find it for some reason.

Search like this: "T/A" - Not TA

VG, are you looking at and reporting on the correct car? Note the OP's mention of mileage of the car.

Probably a good buy. While higher mileage engines are probably OK, I know Arizona Viper's went on his stock 13 Track Pack (the one at Calvo now) at about 12,000 miles (replaced under warranty. And Kris (KB Viper) whose car is at Nth Moto now, had 20,000 on his, and on tear down, his bearings looked bad. Was probably on it's way out (see his thread).

Bottom line - if the car is a good deal, buy it, and buy and extended warranty.

Do you know if either of those motors were burning oil at any point? I don't remember if they said they were early on. It's seems those that burned oil at any point for a good period of time have bad bearings.

A lot of the reason ones that burnt oil and had bad bearings is they were run low for a period of time. Mine burnt oil too but I was aware of it so kept it full. Mine was never down more than a 1/2 litre. I have 6000 miles on mine and have sampled mine every oil change and it is still running like a champ and the oil anaylis comes back good

Kris said he was using 1 quart/700 miles, which was one of the reasons he just went for the big build. Look up his thread on here, he posted pics of the bearings, and they looked like crap.

You definitely can not be speaking of the same car, #28 only has 1,8XX miles on it!

I'd be willing to bet that motor was run low on oil at some point after seeing those bearings.

Just ran the VIN# and it shows that the PCM was reprogrammed at a dealer back in August. Looks like this car may have an Arrow PCM installed.

Okay that's weird.... Apparently that didn't work. The title of the thread is "T/A Thread"

Hell of a deal on a black low mile 14. 34 people are viewing it at the time of this writing compared to the other one at 31 who has been up for a fair bit longer. I think this one won't last too long. One nit picky thing stuck out to me though just viewing pictures. The car is super detailed but the fuse box is pretty dirty. That's one of the first things I clean under the hood and it's the easiest also.
