2017 Free Raffle Winners

Each year we host a raffle to encourage and reward those who renew on time (before the end of the year). This is a free raffle sponsored by our VOA sponsors. Members who were eligible were automatically enrolled in the raffle. We now want to announce the winners!

We again ended up with a higher renewal rate than last year - people are getting used to it, but it still requires lots of reminders from the HQ! We were at 76% this year by Jan 1 - this was excellent. And believe it or not, we had 49 renewals since Jan 1, you guys missed the cutoff just mere days unfortunately! So just another reminder to renew on time!

Once the calcs were done, odds ended up around 1 of 68 to win, not bad odds on some great items! One note on awards - items cannot be transferred/sold to others. Winners were drawn via random number generator, and this year we also scrambled the prizes. These are the winners in the order they were drawn. Backup winners are also listed, should someone not be reachable or forfeit their award, the next person in the backup list will be chosen. I also listed VOA regions as it's always fun to see where folks are from. And thank you to our many sponsors. Yeah, it's always interesting! You do have a few from FL and TX.

Often the largest regions obviously have more chance of winners, though this year it wasn't as clear cut. VA/MD and Western Reserve had more than one win from their region.

I guess it is also hard to win the drawing when you are not included. By that I mean I paid my dues two months ago and all now status is shown as an enthusiast which excludes me from the drawing. Gives you a nice warm feeling, thanks VOA. I'd like to be kissed before getting bent over.

The reason you're not seeing a member title under your name on the forum is because you're using a different email address on the forums and on club registration... We've posted about this before. The forums are a separate system from club membership. So just get those 2 email accounts to be the same and you'll see the title appear. If you need help the mods and VOA HQ and do it for you, but you'll need to pick an email address. It's easy stuff, just takes moments.

As for your membership and the raffle - you're a member and WERE indeed in the raffle... You were not "bent over"...

Although I am not sure in your case, what has happened to me in the past is that just because you show up as an enthusiast here on the site does not mean the same holds true on the membership side. The membership side said I was paid up and the web side showed I wasn't a member. A couple of key strokes and it was all fixed.

In my case it was a simple disconnect between the two.

Verified the accounts are both fine. So we need to find out why there aren't syncing - as I said something with email (or the system thinks it's different for some reason).

Our web guy is looking into it for both of you. Also posted a thread about this topic on the forums in case other have the issue. Definitely want titles to reflect peoples status. The issue is still indeed with that sync. Will check it out.

You should check your Enthusiast sensor or the wiring in between it and the ECM. An open in the circuit will default in your avatar displaying "Enthusiast". While you are at it check your radio gasket, headlight grease and muffler bearings!

You know one time I would like to congratulate myself, if I ever win. You do realize that we have more members in the Colorado chapter than just the one guy who has won this thing multiple times. I happen to like him very much but share the love for crying out loud. I suspect the VOA needs a new random number generator or something. Guess there is always that NVE3 car in Vegas. Then again on people sending other people free stuff, would be nice if that happened once in my 10+ years of Viper ownership. Tired of having to work for everything in my life. Back to the congrats!
