    SRT Driving School August 18th

Anyone that has the free day at Bondurant SRT driving school, who wants to go on August 18, 2017?
Yes, August in Arizona is misery, especially at the track, but all other dates are sold out until July/August- https://secure.srttrackexperience.co...rifyVin.action
Pappy and I haven't used our day yet. Anyone else?
It kind of sucks that anyone buying a new Viper has to wait so long to use their SRT driving school day. Especially for newbs that could really benefit from it.

Shi...I'll go any time. Phoenix isn't any worse than Yuma. I'm looking at doing the 4 day class next mid this year. Though about doing the 2 day Viper Tracks in March but don't know if it will be worth it if I intend on doing the 4 day course. Reason being using my car vs. using Bondurants an paying insurance.

I did a 2 day event with Corvettes in Oct 2015 and had a great time.

Just to be clear, what kind of temps are we talking about?

Turns out that Canadian buyers are not privy to the school, funny stuff

Why post inaccurate data and screw up this thread? 118-120 is record heat. You really think Phoenix average high temps in August are 118-120? Edit your post to reflect reality so people can make properly informed decisions.
Average high temps in August are 104*- https://www.currentresults.com/Weath...th-average.php
It could get as hot as 110-112*, but I'm sure their summer classes would start very early.

Ok, I just talked to Bondurant today. They suggested anyone with any track experience to skip this class as there's 50+ people in it and most of them have never been on a track before.
He said you can trade your SRT day in on any of their other classes and get $1000 credit. I'm probably going to go that route.
They have an advanced class with only 3 students at a time, for 2 days.
    In a TA it's $3699 with your $1000 credit
In an ACR it's $4899 with your $1000 credit.

I would go, I am the second owner and the first didn't ever use his ticket. Anyone know if it's still valid? Their site says no for 2013 and 2014 cars but maybe that isn't accurate?

EDIT: Just saw it's for beginners. I'd prob still go, not interested in spending 5k to whip around an ACR

It's expensive, but again, it's just 3 students per class. And I'd just do the TA 2.0 and save the $1200.

I just got VIN approval. But I'm trying to get more info from people who've actually done the school, and decide whether its worth flying to Phoenix from Jacksonville. I have zero track experience.

If you are flying all the way in from Florida, you should just take the $1000 credit and do the 3 or 4 day class, you'll get way more seat time. With 50 people in the SRT experience class I doubt you will get much seat time.

I was looking at this one since it's a little cheaper and uses the TA 2.0 as well. Seems like a better option for me.

Yeah, kinda what I figured. I'll do some homework.

That does look to be a good option as an alternative.

Just be advised you have to do the GP class first and get a passing score to qualify for the advanced road racing course. At first I thought it was just a "sales" thing but a few in my class didn't score high enough.
