New VOA Regional Development Director Appointed

We have a new Regional Development Director appointed for 2017. We’d like to provide a warm welcome to Bruce Kenkel!As many of you may know, Bruce was a former regional president (and founding Pres of the Crossroads Region) and a very active member of the club. He’s also served as the club’s website director and has helped in various other little capacities. He’s known to be an experienced leader within the club, as well as a professional with skills this role will benefit from. And as evidenced by his actions within the club (and even his posts on this forum) he’s also one of the most positive people I know – with a tenacious spirit.

I’m very happy to make this appointment. This role is critical to the club. The RDD’s purpose is to help regions with issues they’re having. This includes not only process improvement, bylaw development, event advice, etc… but also to help resolve conflicts and deal with significant issues that span anything from membership to leadership roles. As I do believe involvement and pride is what makes a club strong, we continue to have a large group of people helping to run this club. It’s a strategy that has gotten us where we are, the people who volunteer their time for significant roles is impressive. Keep thanking them when you see them! If you have a role you feel would be helpful, never hesitate to ask. There are some helpful things we perhaps haven’t thought of and we’re always adding helpful responsibilities.

Well deserved appointment. You've helped multiple local Mopar clubs get themselves established and able to coexist in our community. We frequently attend and support each others' events. I'm glad to see that you'll be able to take that talent to the national level for the VOA. Congrats!
