I think the two of you need to coordinate and join bargaining forces on the ones you are finding. "This is my final offer" walk away and then have the other scoop it up LOL

Hey! Now that wouldn't be very nice at all. I am much fonder of straight forward dealing. I know for me I usually keep in touch with people I am buying from and selling to. Car guys and gals are great people. Always nice dealing with people that have the same passion and interest.
Mine is actually for sale and unfortunately, it looks like the value of this car has dropped. 97, B/W, all documentation since the original purchase in 97 and it looks like it'll go for high 30's if that.

Nice looking car! Does it have high miles?
High miles is subjective, but it has 30,354 as of today.
Took it out today to enjoy it in the back roads and snapped these pics

I also agree, that's a low 40's car, not a high 30's car.
A 97 is not a 96.
Unfortunately the car is not stock. In my opinion, it was properly modded but more importantly, all documented since 97.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the poster wouldn't be interested. Going to take some work / money to put it back to stock.
Does the car have any history?
ditch those seats, thats def hurting value
THE IGNORE FEATURE WORKS, TRY IT...
History in which way? I have all documentation/invoices of mods/work done to the car including the original "New Vehicle Preparation" sheet when it was originally bought in Nov 1997. Clean CarFax.
I've been looking into switching the seats out but it is around $1,000 for a pair of black well maintained seats. May just negotiate something in with the future buyer.
I was referring to the Car Fax.
Taking everything into consideration I think he is very close saying high $30K's. Mileage, interior, wheels, mods.... This car has zero appeal to collectors. To be honest if someone offered $35K I would take it if I was you. I think you would be looking at high $30K's if this car was somewhere around 20-25K miles, as soon as that odometer flips into the 30's it's historically been a milestone for Viper resale, sad but true.
I buddy of mine picked up his 97 B/W with 12,000 miles on it earlier this year. Full exhaust is the only modification done and he got it for $38,000.00.
I don't know how you guys are getting these deals...
Window sticker and original manuals were included as well. He shopped and waited a long time. I think patience paid off for him.
Just out of interest, are there any mods/upgrades at all that you guys believe don't detract value?
On the gen 2 the power steering pulley and bracket are sub par. Upgrading those parts is highly recommended. Saving the originals doesn't hurt.
Depends on the car and the buyer. As previously noted keeping the original equipment is huge. If it is a bolt-on mod that can easily be swapped back then that's not usually a problem. 96-97 B&W is generally a car that people that are willing to spend the extra money want it to be completely original.
