I had them on my Challenger and I was amazed at how clean it kept the rear end of my car. Thanks again for everything.
I did a write up on adding diffuser fins on here....additionally your suspension options are limited. Lowering caps for $450.....or the VE DSC suspension upgrade aforementioned which is ~$5k.

btw........ I don't think any suspension mods are absolutely "safe" 2doorrocket had his hellcat warranty completely voided from some suspension mods he did to it. So FCA is already using that against their customers.

If this is your first Viper then without a doubt, LIG is absolutely correct.

Live with it a while BEFORE you decide on mods. Your priorities may change with some seat time.

His car was lowered. His car developed instability on highway. They didn't know what was wrong after several attempts to diagnose. They replaced the entire suspension under "Goodwill" not warranty, but informed him is warranty is now voided in its entirety. They blamed it on the lowering springs.

You're correct, it was what seemed to be a torn bushing somewhere, either way they replaced every single control arm, cradle bushings, and the springs and active damping shocks. Then the warranty is voided for the vehicle. I currently have a brake booster concern and they haven't fixed it yet because they do not want to undo the warranty restriction.

Yea, my advice stands, if someone tells you 'it should be warranty friendly', get it in writing or assume FCA will find out by having the dealer Sherlock the snot outta the car, and void your entire warranty and flush that extension, which, would suck. The Viper is awesome, and SRT support historically has been 2nd to none. Now, everyone who cared has left or moved on, so enjoy the car and make sure you don't get frustrated by a bad event the car can't control, FCA, lol, nothing should diminish the joy of viper ownership, welcome to the snake pit.

Doug Shelby Engineering heat shield for factory air box and be sure to insulate it. Makes a huge difference on intake temps.

Cool. I've been looking at Doug Shelby stuff for a heat shield and diffuser fins.

I have an email from a dealer saying arrow PCM will not void my warranty. Hoping i never have to bust it out.

A change of rear end gears from 3.55 to 3.73 or 3.91 would feel like an added 50 to 75 hp.
I would love to do this change, but my .63 ratio 6th gear would rev to high on the highway. 2015 and up models with .50 overdrive ratio are fine.
I dont think this would void the warranty as it would be unnoticable at inspection time.

Be sure to push the rear window defrost before you do anything that may alter warranty. Make sure the back glass doesnt explode..

The Drive Mod is the most important one should do first. Learn the car and how it responds. Depending on you usage of the car is where the performance mods come into play.

Really?? Is there a known problem with the rear window defrost?

I DEFINITELY would NOT suggest doing this without looking at the gap around the glass first ! Replacements might not be readily available !

There are various threads for an early build issue. http://driveviper.com/forums/threads...efroster-Issue
Someone has also reported an issue on a newer build also. It sounds like the design relies on the glass installer insuring an adequate gap.
