With all of the pervasive issues surrounding the car now, I don't know that I would want to step into the "lions den" if I was an SRT Engineer.
Some of the engineers sat in a room with everyone face to face that attended NVE2 each day at lunch at the track
Or the Vents falling out of the hood, or the bonding issues with the rear hatch glass, or the poor weatherstriping issues with noise coming in around the windows ......or..........or.............Arrow PCM...........
Given the current political climate at Fiat, no way SRT engineers (or anyone) for that matter, is going to be allowed to participate in an online chat session on the company's behalf. Better approach would be an ex-SRT engineers chat session once their non-disclosure clauses' expire.
With all of the warranty denials hanging over this community like a dark cloud right now, a chat session with SRT would certainly make for great entertainment.
I remember years ago participating with these over on ChargerForums. This was back 7,8, 9 years ago. But Tony is right, no way are they going to do that now!
Lol.....can you imagine what a shit storm that would turn into.
maybe its due time and would clear the air!

There was a meeting over lunch each of 3 days at NVE2. The only question related to an issue that I can recall the day I was there was regarding the durability of the ACR's Kumho V720 on track. The answer was that they were discussing new offerings with other tire companies, including Pirelli, whose representative there confirmed. Myself and others chatted with some after the meeting for quite a while and it was all positive.
I asked the same question more than three years ago and was assured that 'of course' the chats would happen. After not much happening for months I repeatedly asked for some updates and was told that I'm extremely annoying and should cut it off.
I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm sure an effort was put forth by VOA, but I suspect FCA didn't want to play along. And that was way before engine-gate and before they declared the end of the viper...
That is precisely my guess as well. For reference, there was an SRT Engineers session a month before Chrysler filed for bankruptcy and CAAP was being idled (and the world markets were at their very bottom). There was also session a couple of months after they emerged from bankruptcy and were effectively still on chemotherapy with thousands of employees terminated. Both of those happened in much scarier situations than late 2013 when I asked my question.
I agree.. seems like we've had them in worse situations. I'm thinking the change in leadership at dodge. Too bad.. that was a big factor what won me over to the brand from 20 years with chevy.
IMO the change in leadership and the two clubs VOA-VCA fighting each other. That created a shit storm that FCA wanted to stay out of. All that did was make the brand look bad from the inside out. Why jump back into that even though the infighting is all but gone.
