    Ceramic coating

Can anyone tell me if this new type of paint protection would prevent fine scratches on a chrome-like finish? Is it that thick/durable?

Chrome like? Do you mean spectre chrome paint?

If so, though the application process is a bit different it is supposed to be treated like any other paint once it's done in terms of wax, etc. because if is just cleared. So those ceramics should give it protection. Though some people have sworn they thought once they put the ceramic on that the paint wasn't as shiny. Others say they can't tell its on except that it keeps it looking nice.

So I would say it's probably ok but you may want to try it on a bumper first and make sure you don't think it dulls the look of that carefully applied chrome paint.

If it's just clearcoated polished aluminum like many of our wheels, then no worries as that's what it was intended for was to protect the clear. Good luck.

I had it done on my ninja H2, has silver mirror paint. for the most part it prevents most fine scratches and makes it easy to clean. some fine scratching is appearing where my stomach rubs the tank all the time now though.

I have it on my ACR and Lexus rc. On the ACR it dose a good job of protecting the finish. With that in mind I track and drive it pretty hard. On the Lexus it dose a great job keeping that just wet washed look. Lexus is pearl white ACR is Stryker orange. Factor in your use of the car show or driver car.
