Question for people with multiple vipers

Kind of a out there question but would like some insight. I have had 6 vipers over the years they have all been gen III/V cars so gnerally similar to each other. I have a 2010 Gen IV and it is basically a track car with an street interior right now. I have quite a few vintage cars and well I am no longer driving them due to the Viper its just to much fun. But the ACR is not a street car anymore.

How many of you have say a Viper for a track car and then one that is more street drivable. Are they different enough to warrant buying a second or even third car that has a different focus.

I keep looking at some 20-30K mile gen III cars right now and some similar mileage Gen I's. I could then throw door bars and true race seats in the ACR and have a bit more track safety and usability. I have a buyer for my 57 Cadillac lined up and honestly if I don;t use the money for another car quickly it will turn into a kitchen expansion. I would love to have a convertible again in a Viper and I think that is the hook right now.

I found a great deal this summer on a comp coupe and sold my '08 ACR which I was only using at the track. Something you might want to consider.

We've had a Gen I since '96, great car but if I was looking for a fun drive around town viper, and your considering a Gen 1 or Gen III, I'd choose a Gen III. Gen I cars are pretty crude, stiff clutch, weak brakes, 100 less hp.

I have a 15 and a 16. The 15 has the tractive suspension from VE and the CCM brakes off the ACR style cars. I also have the Mopar controller. It is an AMAZING street car now. Better than the TA 1.0 set up I ordered it with. I also have a 16 ACR-E. The cars are totally different but yet complimentary to each other. I love my 15 for the street and is still my favorite car, however, the ACR on track is something the 15 could never be. Having both makes me feel like I don't need another "fun" car. I think two vipers set up totally different gives you the best of both worlds. I have had a Gen III and IV before and after have a V I just can't go back to anything else. Just my thoughts of course but you did ask

Love them all for different reasons. Also went with a comp coupe for a race car. Have all the gens but a V. Have that on order. Everyone puts a smile on my face.

I built my 03 mostly geared for track duty, could street drive it but it's not very comfortable anymore. I have a 97 GTS basically stock that I drive daily. I just picked up another 03 to use more regularly.

X2, Have all Gens except the Gen 5. Will have one one day. Great cars all. If I want to track, I have the ACR. If I want to cruise on a beautiful day, it's the RT. Just nice to have options.
