I did the same thing but SRT and used ClayR from Zeller Motors for extended warranty. Great price.

Lol really ? That's not what my take away is. I probably am more old school than you are, and "blown engine" means a physically damaged engine to me. Something that results in metal pieces while driving along. My take away is that there is no indication that this engine failure is due to the same cause as any other reported failure.
Not that that makes it better for the owner. Sorry if I offended you.
I know, but crazy, just how unlucky do you have to be for both replacements to be bad.
So your definition means the guy who spun bearings in his driveway isn't a 'blown' motor. Or a cam tossing valves into a piston. Ok, we're just not agreeing on nomenclature. Let's call it engine failure. Yea, that's much nicer, and we don't need the car to be moving or a rod to go thru a cylinder wall. See, we can all get along. LoL and sorry to offend and happy new year! Hehe.
So we've had engine failures on 13-17 gen5s with no clear diagnosis by FCA or any solution put in place since 17s are dying, two now by my count and I'm not even looking for them. But we all know this so I should delete my own post. Pfft.
Got my car back today, glad to have it back! I suppose I have to go through the engine break in procedure. I read online 500 miles, and then change the oil, although the dealer says 2000 miles is really ok, so maybe ill do somewhere in between.
They mentioned that shortly after my repair was approved that a new TSB went out specifically about warranty coverage and aftermarket parts. They said it outlines a bit more about the warranty coverage process. Can anyone find that? I don't think it's viper specific. I think we need to read it.
