Boy that really sucks. Did you by any chance get the plate number? Did you call the police? I would be driving around looking for a Tahoe with a damaged side.

Dude, you were in a Viper which is fast, how come you didn't chase him/her down? If you were worried they may have been armed surely you could have kept your distance while getting on the cell phone to the cops?

That sucks. Not going to be a cheap fix!
    Sorry to read this

Man, this is heart breaking...this is why I always run a GoPro in my car at all times. For these kinds of things.

I hope you can get this sorted out smoothly and quickly and I hope the person responsible has to pay in some way.

Shit, that sucks. Sorry to see. File the police report, and start the insurance claim. Should be covered, minus your deductible. Many thousands, but fixable.

hood, bumper cover, wheel and paint im guessing just under 25k. have reliable ship it up to prefix and dont lose any sleep.. good as new

Wow that sucks...sorry guy. Prefix should make it perfect. I hate always worrying about other drivers...I drove mine until late September was pulling out of a gas station right in my town some older lady driving this huge old stake truck almost clipped my back end pulling in because she was looking at my car. Maybe it wasn't that close hard to tell but I quickly pulled forward. Drove it home and said, "I'm done until spring"...Weather here getting crappy anyway...Safe in the garage for now.

sorry to hear and see those pics. Sounds like you weren't harmed which is more important than a car.
I know i just had a touch up paint quote and while i was there he told me the hood replacement only cost 12K so its gonna be pricey for sure.

    Good luck.

Man thats brutal. As others have said I would have at least followed the tahoe to get the plate number and then backed off and called the police.

This kind of thing always makes me think of getting a dash cam; but, I want some small little thing that attaches and hides on the windshield side of the rearview mirror so that it is not taking up driving visibility real estate

30-35K with paint and repair is my guess. Nothing structural so should be a easy but expensive fix.

    Front bumper + paint
    New Hood + paint
    Rear wing paint
    Rear fender + paint
New wheel, (why should you settle for repair)
Not seeing it in the pics but I presume Wing mirror + Paint

How is the side sill and Drivers door?
    Has the headlamp moved?
Window cowl OK? Any scratches due to the hood impact? (Might want to check the passenger side too, incase there was any sideways push on the hood).

    Ouch! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yes it's always good encourage theft from someone else's insurance company, after they have posted photos that showing the parts weren't on the car.

Good luck with that. I've been down that road. Very difficult to access the cam footage.
