The way I look at it......Viper orders will go back to the original premise of individual custom cars and there will be 2,435 vipers sitting in NC....lol.

Just having a little fun with the not-so-silent minority.
I believe we will see a short and limited run of orders, most of which will fill those sales that are pending at Dodge dealerships with customer sold-order deposits behind them, to keep those who have been upset by the sudden demand and had missed out.
Those who love to complain for the sake of it and just to be heard, unfortunately, this will not quite them. They'll search out and find something else to whine about.

Why feed into it? You have sold quite a few of that large order already so proves it was the right move for Jerry Wood. I didn't care for the combos spec'd but what the hell do I know? You sold the big dollar pink ACRE. I would have never thought that would sell. Hope a few that will pull the trigger get the car they want. You are lucky to be able to do that.

You catch on quick. You're the shiny new thing to whine about in the GenV troll world. Take it as a compliment and a curse.

I fail to see how my comment warrants a response like this. I also fail to see how I have "whined" in any way when it comes to what FCA allowed your dealership to do. In no way have I ever insulted you or what you did. I simply have an opinion that myself and several others shared when FCA closed the order banks after your dealership placed that massive order. The 1 of 1 program was designed for the customer, period. Many of us hadn't pulled the trigger on a 1 of 1 because we had other factors at play. I, myself, was dealing with surrendering a lemoned GTS and FCA was taking their time with it.

All good, because a dealership already has my business, and it certainly isn't yours.

Show some class. I was fine with your first response, it actually made me laugh in good spirit. But following that up with a generalization about me or anyone else that doesn't agree with your point of view is immature.

Does anyone actually know when the order banks open?

I am new to this forum and never posted. I have a 13 GTS as well and I'm curious to know why your car was lemoned. Thanks, sorry for the thread jack. Feel free to PM me if you like.

You should ask what wasn't wrong with it, it'll be a shorter reply. He had a demon possessed build, real shame, but it happens. There a few buy backs here and there, usually engine, electrical, diffs, etc.

LOL Dman. Ain't that the damn truth. Like you, I was shopping around for an alternative when the order banks closed. The MP4 started to grow on me, but now that there is a chance I can do a 1 of 1 still, I think that I there isn't a car in this price range that will satiate me the way a 1 of 1 GTC would.

Like I said, fingers crossed it's true and that those of us that had an order ready can get ours in before the GW special edition run #2 clogs it all up again.

I will be interested on how many orders occur once the banks are open....I do not think it will be a small number. I agree with Rexius. I was joking in my last post but I think it will hard to sell 135 Vipers that may not have the options buyers want....with all due respect to GW. In additon, I am sure there a a number of individuals on this site and others that are not that did not like what happened but are not voicing their opinions so a vocal minority is not the case IMHO. The ninth viper (since 1995) I will have owned just finished being built and I am heading in two weeks to discuss an ACR-E build with my dealer.

Dodge hasn’t announced precisely when the 2017 Viper will again be available, and we don’t know how much it will cost. If you want one, our advice is to get in line as soon as possible. The last Vipers ever built will certainly sell out fast regardless of how much Dodge chooses to ask for them, and production will end once and for all once the company runs out of parts.

Really....in a few posts ago you speak of 'showing some class' and 'maturity'....then just keep making comments like a teenager that didnt get it his way

Just place your order for the 1 of 1 as soon as possible before they close the order banks again. When they open, I am sure it wont last for long and those that didn't get off the pot, will once again let everyone know how they just missed it by days

IMO anyone serious about an order should be speaking to their dealer of choice now, have their configuration finalized ASAP, and have the dealer's finger on the trigger with approval to place the order as soon as the light turns green.

Funny!!! Please order more purple ones so I can go completely broke!

I personally dont think GW will have a problem selling those Vipers, given some time. The 1 of 1 program is very recent and people bought Vipers for years before this option was available. In other words, you pick one that you like even though it may not have exactly the options your would have choosen if your would have ordered it.

This is the end of the line for the Viper as we know it. It has got some serious press lately and these cars are getting the attention they deserve. It will be interesting to see how many more will be sold/built before it's all over

Vipers are going to sell the same number of units on a monthly basis as they have for the last 4 years. That's about 50 cars per month, some months higher, some months lower. There won't be some mad rush where FCA sells hundreds (or even a hundred) of Vipers a month.

Now all the "oh I was going to buy one for sure" people can have their chance.

All the "I'm gunna sit on this fence and talk for another couple months, having talked about ordering a one of one for the past 18 months" people... that's what I'm referring to. It's amazing. Our order just interrupted that dialogue to themselves (behind their avatar of course).

It's no different than the conversations most all of us have had...

"Man, when you go to sell that Viper give me a call"

    Ring, Ring....

    Ring, Ring...

    Hello, anyone home?

    LOL

I'd love to order a new one, but I have to pay to play at that level. So buying used is the only option for me. I have a nice down too, just don't want to pay too high of a monthly.

    I'll get there someday!!

"Like I said, fingers crossed it's true and that those of us that had an order ready can get ours in before the GW special edition run #2 clogs it all up again." How is this a "teenager" comment? Is it not the truth? Did the order banks not close because of the large order GW placed in October? Or was it just a coincidence?

Agreed with you as well. I know that there are others with similar situations to mine that had other uncontrollable factors at play that prevented them from getting their order in.

Look, at this point, all I care about is getting my 1 of 1 order in when the order banks open, and I hope everyone who has an order ready like I do can get theirs in on time before they close again for good.
