Seat vertical play window regulator failure

Just took delivery of my 2017 TA last Monday. Love the car but I ran into an issue with the window regulator or more specifically, the regulator's front metal u-bracket that interfaces with the window's glass. Looks like the glue between the two pieces dried up or something else happened and the metal piece separated from the front of the window. This caused the window to fall off from the regulator from the front, while I was rolling it down on day 2 of ownership. I will be addressing this with some epoxy over the weekend. Disappointing, but hey shit happens.

Also, does anyone have a minor thud sound when getting into their seats? Kind of like metal to metal coming together as your weight transfers to the seat and the seat rests against the rail its sitting on. I have the TA seats and there seems to be a minor vertical gap between the seat supports and the rails. This is just speculation from what I am hearing and the feeling i get when getting in (micro movement downward). Just curious if this is normal or if I have something loose on mine that needs to be addressed...by myself of course. To be clear, there is no motion or anything while driving. Only when I sit.

I just prefer not to go to the dealership for smaller issues. Too much anxiety, when I can comfortably do all the work I need to on my own. I only want to go there on a last resort basis ie to setup the Bose 18 speaker upgrade, engine issues, etc.

Both of my window regulators are dying. It's on my list of little things for when I take it to the dealership over the winter. This is a pretty common issue.

My drives seat also has some play in it. That issue just started a few weeks ago. I'm not a big guy so I'm kind of surprised this is an issue. I haven't had time to see if something was just loose.

Sorry, I meant Harmon Kardon. Dad wants an Audi A6, so I have been recently scouring for a used one. The upgraded system on that is Bose, well semi-update before the Bang&Olf

What particular issue are you having with your windows? Is it an issue with power going up and down or is the alignment is off?

I wouldn't say my seat has play, just the first sit is where there is a slight thud. I'm not too big either (5'10" - 190 lbs), but I think any decent amount of weight on the seat would cause the sound I am talking about.
