    HP Tuners New Version

Unless I misinterpreted something, HPT just released a full version of their product for 2008 thru 2016 Vipers. Keep in mind the previous version being used on the G5 was not a full version and was a Beta.

However, there was a caveat added under the "included" list:

"Note: 2015-2017 Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/RAM vehicles need the PCM Modification Service to unlock the PCM before tuning."

That is definitely true for challengers and chargers and jeeps, not sure if they put the same encryption on a viper ecm

Would be nice to know if this update gave us all the functionality we were missing as compared to other platforms.

Torie from Unleashed has mentioned he has a metric shit ton of miles logged in a G5 Viper with HPT.

But I would like more information in public and documented long term cars before I would even consider HPT over Arrow.

Calvo and Nth use Motec with great success but it's not cost effective as using it as only a tune upgrade.

I seen that too but i don't think it is needed. We are able to tune now with HP Tuner with out sending the PCM in so i think we should still be able to continue tuning.

Correct...that note doesn't apply to the Viper.
