IPSCO Front Tow Hook install issue

I purchased a front tow hook from IPSCO a few weeks ago and went to install it this past weekend. Following the directions I was unable to get it mounted from the top of the engine bay. Since half the bolts were out of the bumper cover at that point I decided to remove the front bumper. The issue I ran into is I had zero clearance between the radiator and the tow hook. Literally to get the tow hook installed I would have ended up bending some of the fins on one of the aux coolers.
My question is has anyone else run into this issue? What's the trick? am I missing something or am I simply encountering a clearance issue because of the hand built car process and clearances are off just a bit?

I just installed mine and it went in very smoothly, following the directions. Not sure where you're running into trouble

Venom V made a thread about his tow hook install, he didn't have any issues. Maybe do a search for it.

Question....were you mounting it over on the passenger side? Mine is about 10" to the right-of-center/center and coming through the upper set of slots and level straight out the front.

I mounted mine on the pass side and it did had a little contact with the radiator I just let it go since the radiator and the cross member should move

Yes I was trying to mount it on the passenger side. I will make another attempt at it this weekend.
