    quot R quot hooks

I have "R" hooks for my gen II. I just purchased a Gen V and need to head to TN to pick it up. Are there oval slots in the Gen V frames like on the II's? Did a search but did not find anything definitive...

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

yep i use em to tie down my ta 2 in my trailer. the front slots r on side of frame. if u reach ur arm just in front of front tire u can reach them. the rears r on side just in front of the end of diffuser.

Sorry but what type end do you have on the tie down strap? Is there a special type that fits into the frame slots?

I'm pretty sure the Gen V's need "T" hooks. I used them for my GTS and they worked perfectly. tie-down-hooks-ca130.jpg

t hooks will work also but the shorter r hooks interferes less and fits better on my ta.

I used the j/r hook in the front. I found it easier to add two tow brackets in the rear and use snap hooks on both ends of the rear straps, the reason, my enclosed trailer made it hard to access the frame slots in the rear. The rear tow brackets might also allow cross strapping on an ACR. My car has aftermarket diffusers and I can cross strap in the rear because of the tow brackets.

MAC has a unique rachet that keeps the straps from jamming in the ratchet..
