    CEL code P0303

Took delivery yesterday and as of today i have just tripped 100 miles and the CEL came on. I hooked up my OBD reader and pulled the code P0303(Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected).
Any others have this and care to give me the scoop of what the fix was?

Before I got the code i was just google searching and had hoped it to be the oil pressure sensor which would have been an easy fix.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it comes back.

Even though the car is running rough? It has very little power.
I will fire it up again today and see if the light is on.

You didn't say in your original post that the car actually was running rough and had very little power. "Very little power" seems like much more than a single cylinder misfire but, I am no expert.

Since you did not mention a driveability issue in your first post, most here probably would have thought that the ssue was just a one time blip that caused a code

Make a return trip to the dealer, no sense in messing with it when you still have the plastic wrap on it, especially if you experienced reduced power or abnormal operation, plus if you open the hood you void the warranty ;-P

One question, is it a recent build or a car that was sitting a long time, just wondering about gas quality.

Unfortunately its was purchased from a dealer across the US so taking it to that dealer is tough. i had a bad experience with my local dealer for my '13 so it has me skittish. Closest i have is about 2:15 hrs away, that i trust.
So, the car is a 15 and it sat for some time. I do wonder if that could be it. I did fill up on the first day that i received the car. Next day was when the issue started. That code is generic and this is what i found on it. I also read about the gas lid being an issue.

    What causes the P0303 code?

    Faulty spark plugs
    Fuel injection issues
Plug wires, cap and rotor, or coil pack issues (depending on what vehicle is equipped with)
    Mechanical engine issue
    Intake air leaks

Agree, you may be skittish about the dealer, but easiest way is to get it there. Hopefully they can diagnose something. Or, give Mark J a call, maybe he can steer you in the right direction.

We have seen this on a brand new 16' we swapped the plug then the wire then the coil with another cylinder to see if the problem followed it, but never did so FCA said since it was not duplicated to send it out... The code is generic in the sense it is the same for any manufacturer, but it is a cylinder specific code so just concentrate on that cylinder for diagnosis.

Not following you on "send it out"? Please clarify.

Let it sit a while and retry. I once stalled the car and it ran rough till I got it back home and cleared the code and it never came back and started up fine.

So, I finally got around to getting the car in shop on the 23rd. They have had it now for over a week and are still troubleshooting. They have been in touch with SRT but no luck so far. The messages codes so far are cylinder three misfire and lately multiple cylinder misfires.

I was following another guy on this site that had the same issue but they were able to resolve his fairly quickly(i think it was a loose connection). Any others with this issue?

The dealer contacted me today and said it was ready to be picked up. Interesting solution, they cleaned all of the fuel system parts including flushing the gas tank and reassembled.
It drove fine on my 2hr drive home.
