    ACR Order banks open again

Just kidding. Hope I didn't knock anyone off their rocker, but how cool would it be if that actually happened and if that was just a ploy to sell a massive amount of ACR's and Vipers in general? It would have gone down as the best marketing ploy ever! I'm pretty sure if the order banks did open, FCA would have a flood of orders for the car from people that were not only on the fence, but also from others who were kind of sort of in the market and also yet from others who were not in the market at all.

Who knows, maybe it will happen. Not holding my breath.

    Nice Trick but where's the Treat.....lol !!!

My own opinion is that there probably was not a great deal more orders that FCA was going to get. The car has sold ~50 units/month for basically the last 4 years. There has been no real increase in Viper sales since the ACR was introduced and there really isn't a big demand for the car. It is what it is.

I was at Huntington Beach Dodge yesterday looking at Hellcats (they have 53 of them in stock ). The salesman was saying that they sold a 2015 GTS for about the same price as a new hellcat. Said the car sold last year at the end of the year after the dealership owner got tired of it sitting in inventory and sold it almost 40k below MSRP for high 60s. One of the managers apparently jumped on the deal and drives it everyday. He claimed that they used to order vipers but now they only special order them for this reason.

Has anyone else seen gen V's being given away like that or is this guy full of crap?

This is the dealer that services my '14 GTS. The sale above may have happened, but some facts may be a bit off. For example, were there even any '15 GTS cars? The Viper I see on the HB Dodge lot consistently which could be the "daily driver of the manager" is a white SRT which is a '13 or '14. Before I purchased my car from another area Dealer, I visited both Dealers all the time to see which cars they had. I think HB did make a great deal on a '13 GTS Launch Edition after more than a year on the lot, but I do not think that is the car at issue (Kramer from Seignfield may have purchased that one).

Understandably, the Dealers have "moved on" from the Viper to cars like the Hellcats where they can actually make $$$$$.

For cars languishing on the lot,

I think you're right. The last time I had mine there for service, there was a white one parked in an employee spot. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a GTS, but I may be wrong. I remember they had a gunmetal and a white SRT in early 2015.

Yeah you guys may be right about the specifics of the model but I didn't really dig into it too much was just listening to the young salesman tell me about it. I also saw the back of the white Viper sitting in the employee lot last time I was there so it is probably that one you guys are mentioning. Seems like one hell of a deal if it is true!

I sold a new 15' GT new for $20K off sticker. But you now, you gotta believe what every salesman tells you, right? Wanted to order a GTS-R 25th car but chickened out.

This must be thread number 31 for October on Viper pricing.

Lets see what November brings for us

About 3 or 4 months ago I was offered a new 2015 gt for $82,500, it listed at $102,500

There were actually plenty of people that bought new 13's and 14's with discounts approaching $50K. Cars that stickered at $125K (after $15K price reduction) that were bought brand new for $75K. There was a thread on Viper Alley a while back where everyone was posting their purchase price. There were lots. There were also quite a few that bought brand new TA's for under $90K.

Mine was $57k off sticker ($42k below reduced price). 2013 GTS bought new in 2015

Funny how that works. Then people bitch about dealer trade in offers like there's some huge demand for a three year old car they paid 75K for.

The flood of orders would consist of about 10 people that were on the fence for the past year. Anyone who actually wanted an ACR and could afford it already got one.

53 in stock...hmmm. Maybe time to pull the trigger on a hellcat for a sweet deal.
