Toyota really stepped it up & it feels way overdue!
The GT -R can put that in its pipe & smoke it!!
How do you feel about the new car?

Meh.Calling it a “spiritual pace car” for Toyota’s future and drawing on a robust history of sports cars, Toyota surprised many at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show on Monday by announcing the FT-1 Concept sports car.

OMG !!! so Hot .... like the F1 looking front nose.
The wing is radical & the interior dash and steering wheel is off the hook hot
yes, interior is spectacular and exterior is ferrai f12 berlinetta-ish.
.
if they produce this car AND the performance is cutting edge, then this is on my bucket list along with the Lambo Huracan
If the engine is Acura 90's NSX anemic and not brutish, then forget it.
If it doesn't have a motor that can be tuned to ridiculous levels, it will never be the Supras replacement. That is what made the car, nothing else.
Imagine those looks AND the Nissan GTR performance !!! wow
Front end looks like an alien from predator. Rather have a Viper.
here is what it will look like when Toyota gets it to production (I think what debuted is hot)

It's alright I guess. I'd rather have any viper over that though.
What's up with the dichotomy? Car guys can't have more than one horsey in the stable ?
Many Viper owners are unfortunately monogamous and faithful beyond reason. Like you, I prefer to try as many cars as I can . Best part, my wife is OK with that and when it come to cars she also "likes to play the field". I guess you could call us Automotive " swingers".
I like it. Very good looking car but it has to have performance to match it's good looks.
Rear tires don't look wide enough to suggest supercar power?
