Back in a Viper 17 GTC ACR E

It was probably inevitable since the release of the ACR that this would happen. I was at COTA when Viper Exchange brought out the GTS-R blue/white striped ACR-E. Then a few local guys started buying them, and my good friend Roncfp gave me the keys to his ACR-E at Daytona-Rolex in April. So within a month I had a deal with Viper Exchange and the order was placed just after the '17 ordering banks opened. My '15 Z06 left in late-June. Since I had no events planned until at least Oct/Nov as a result of two races in August (VIR) and September (Sebring), I had a nice window for the car to (hopefully) be built and shipped. The timing worked out perfect. In two weeks it'll be at Sebring, then again later in November with a few other Gen V ACR's, and am planning Daytona-Rolex in December and back to Sebring in January. It's GTS-R blue, painted wing, painted rear fascia, BM wheels, red stitching and belts, 18-speaker HK stereo and of course the "free" CCB's (which I hope I don't regret as a track guy).

The car was delivered to my home today, and I put 90 miles on it. Xsnake and I will likely put on the Extreme parts this weekend, then to MoparBoyy for alignment on Monday. Another oil change next week (I requested that VE change oil at 7 miles) and it's being clear bra'd November 2nd.

Big thanks to Courtney at Viper Exchange and their whole team for a smooth and clean deal. Also, props to Chuck at Sheridan Elite Car Transport. He left VE yesterday at ~1 pm and had the car here today at 1:30 pm.

This is my second Viper...my first was a '98 GTS built by UR with a 510" stroker, Paxton and 956 rwhp. It went 9's on pump gas after driving 100 miles to Bradenton.
