Gen V GTC ACR Red with white GTS stripes (because mine is about to be deliver. Thanks Bill and Woodhouse)
Great list... Agree 100% with those picks. Only one I would add, would be a 2006 VOI9. I think that is a fantastic color combo..

My vote is the 92 RT/10.
there's the Gen 2 GTS-R and then there's, well, this of course:

my personal opinion, anything without a clamshell hood will not be collectible when it comes to vipers. Look at the lambos without lambo doors...

You mean Miura? And that was before Lamborghini came out with lambo doors was it not? Scissor doors didn't even appear until 1968 on an Alfa Romeo and that was mid production on Miura. Look at any model since the door design has come out. They drop like a rock in value---Gallardo being the poster child of this effect. It's really not about the "hood" or the "doors" itself that make the cars not collectible. It's the decision by the manufacture to not include the feature. Cost. They saved money by going traditional which leaves a bad taste in collectors mouths. On the opposite end of the spectrum, look at the F1 Mclaren. They didn't look at cost whatsoever when designing that car. It is the most collectible car in the world because if it. Their intention was to make the best super car in the world regardless of cost.

Whether you give the car a clamshell label or not, I would venture to say that if you took a poll, the most common cars that come up as being the most collectible vipers would be GTS-R Gen 2, 92' viper, 96' GTS, Gen V ACR-E. Those would come up on almost everyones list where as others like a Gen IV ACR or Voodoo edition may come up on someone else's but not the majority. All the ones that would be agreed upon unanimously are clamshell vipers. All vipers are special and thus I think they probably all go up in value---except gen 3 and 4 just in my opinion. They never had that draw to them when they came out to me personally. Everything about them was more ordinary than their predecessors. Just like a corvette their performance and reliability was much better, but their aesthetic appeal suffered. Thankfully FCA went back to the Gen 2 body style when they designed the Gen 5 thus making owners like myself re-interested in the modern Viper.
