    Most Collectible Viper

Would love to hear member's opinions on this subject. I think it's safe to assume Vipers will start to appreciate after production is discontinued. With this in mind, If you only had space to store one Viper, which year/model do you think will see the most appreciation in the next 5 years?
My vote is the 92 RT/10.

I would say with the popularity of the Gen2 GTS (even Dodge styled the Gen5 like it) it will be the 1998 GTS-R.

.... (now if they made the interior in red and black instead of blue and black.....)

    1992
    1995 last 300 stamped
    1996 GTS B/W
    1996 GTS W/B (3 made)
    1997 RT/10 B/W (53 made)
    1998 GTS-R (100 made)
    1999 GTS ACR
    2000 RT/10 ACR (1 made)
2002 Final Additions (Final Additions ACR's even more rare)

I think all Vipers will one day appreciate how much who knows. But the above list is a good start to potential "special" Vipers

The most collectible one is mine. Coz it's not available and that makes it rare.

If everyone thought like this, prices would be higher!

Would have to go with the 98 GTS R also. There are some one offs like the Blue 2002 ACR that would be worth having.

I don't think the RT/10's will be collectible.

I don't consider cars as collectibles.

Please. Not another poser garage queen thread. It's a freakin car. Drive it.

The car market has become the next fine art market with people trying to predict the next car to make them money, yes some do make money out of flipping cars but more than most don't. It's a sad event as the cars that get stored away are the ones we all wish we could drive, if you look at it as a long term plan of 20 years or more it won't matter how many miles you put on it, just keep it well maintained and then you have enjoyed it and got something maybe worth more than you paid in 20 years time.

Depends on your definition on 'making money'. I've been pretty successful buying cars under current value driving a few years, then selling at a small profit when I am done. I just bought my b/w GTS at a great price. I'll have fun with it, and we'll see what happens to the market when viper dies. If values go way up, then great! ....if not I still enjoyed the car and I won't lose much money.

I agree 110% that this car should not be bought strictly because you anticipate values skyrocketing.

dave6666 what you don't understand > some people collect cars.

I have many cars, some I drive, some I collect. Nothing wrong with that.

So in your opinion D'Ann Rauh should only drive "all her cars" and not collect them?

My next viper purchase, I hope it is a well cared for garage queen. And the next viper after that will be a nice medium mileage one that I can "drive the heck out of it"
