Members it is once again time for the Carolinas Viper Owners Association Holiday Party (November 19, 2016)

This year has been a great and eventful year - with the exception of the Charleston Event. After Mother Nature expressed her fury for the third year in a row, we should probably consider scheduling the event some time outside the hurricane season next year!
For our final event this year, your regional officers have planned a Holiday Party in Greensboro, NC. We chose this location because it’s still the most centralized in the Carolinas for most of us. Dinner will be at the Print Works Bistro, 702 Green Valley Road, Greensboro, NC, with an open menu. The club will pay the first $40.00 for both each member and their significant other/family member (maximum member total of $80), and will provide the appetizers for dinner. All alcohol, and any dinners exceeding $80.00 for each member and family, will be the responsibility of each member (donation jars will be provided).
For those who are travelling a distance for this event, lodging has been blocked under the name Carolinas Viper Club at the Proximity Hotel, which is adjacent to the Print Works Bistro. The group rate was lowered by $100.00 for one night to $209.00, plus tax. Also, for those who are thriftier, such as me, there are several other hotels nearby to choose from. Remember, however, that drinking and driving is still frowned upon in the state of North Carolina.
In addition to the club paying for the meal and appetizers, everyone attending will receive one or more small gifts. Like past years, some rather nice gifts will also be raffled off after dinner. This will also be a great time to meet our newest members and discuss next year’s events.
There is a small $10.00 registration charge per member and guest to off-set some of the cost for the food, gifts, and raffle prizes. However, just this one event will recoup a majority of your annual membership fee to the VOA!
Remember to renew your membership before the end of the year for your Carolinas VOA club to receive the maximum benefit from the national VOA so we can continue to provide these and other events next year.

I'm going to have to talk to the wife on this. It's an excellent Hotel restaurant. We spent 3 weekends up there this summer, just for the pool and food, and it's 40 minutes away. I think we will be there. Watching weather at this point.

Phil and Melody will be there. We live in Greensboro about 15 minutes from Print Works Bistro. We have three bedrooms available if anyone's need a place to stay. Lots of good Bourbon and Melody might even fix a Great breakfast. Let us know if you are interested.

Lou, I should have stated in the original post and email that we traditional do not drive the Vipers on our last event (Holiday Party), due to the unpredictability of the weather. About a week before the deadline, I will send out another email to everyone to remind them we usually drive our daily driver.

Just in case you missed the email...

For those who have not registered for the Holiday Dinner, you have until November 1st. This will allow us and the restaurant time to plan for the event. As a reminder, if you are going to bring children (please bring them as this is a family affair), please let us know as we are providing gifts for them. Dress code will be "Nice Causal".
