Swapped my ECU to get it ready for a CA Smog Test. Along with the swap is disconnecting the battery which re-sets the OBD's availability to read, "ready."
Two years ago I put about 100 miles on the car to get the ECU "ready."
This time, after 200 plus miles I couldn't get it in ready mode.
I found these two articles on-line and did a combination of both and finally was able to get it ready to read and ultimately pass.
Its always been said, swap ECU's drive about a 100 miles etc. to pass emissions. With these protocols, it may be as easy and logging 20-30 miles.
