No, not on low beams. HID technology has come a long way. You can upgrade to a quality xenon low beam for around 150 bucks.

The Slverstars aren't worth the cost. They tint the bulbs to make the light whiter. Problem is, they then need to ramp up the amperage to have the correct amount of brightness after the light goes through the tint. So, they get hotter...and don't last long.

HIDs do not belong in a housing that wasn't designed for them. Yes...they're bright...but it's not "good" light. (I know I'm among the minority.) Lots of good info at danielsternlighting.com

I upgraded my daily driver to Philips Vision Plus.

Before I swapped the bulbs in the Lincoln...I did entirely too much research. So...if memory serves...

The Vision Plus put more light "down the road" and were "brighter" than the USA Silverstars. (There is or was another Silverstar in Europe that is a good bulb.) Plus, they'll outlast the Silverstars. As said above...they aren't the "white" bulbs that some folks like. That being said...the Vision Plus bulbs put out a normal colored light...like the car originally had.

    I got mine on amazon.com.

And...I see much of the info on Danielstern is now off line....shame..it was great info.

Good luck with them! I've been pleased with them in my daily car. Plus....bulbs lose brightness over time...so any new bulb is a plus.
