    How metallic is Competition Blue

I've been focusing on a non-metallic custom color, but all the pictures of Competition Blue seem to downplay the metallic / pearl.

How does it compare to the Mustangs and Jeeps that have that shade of blue? I know those are non-metallic.

Does anyone have a pic of Competition Blue that they feel adequate describes the pearl/metallic?

    Thanks!

No pearl or metallic in the Comp blue.

    Thanks Mark!

Not sure how I ended up thinking it was metallic/pearl.

It might have been that, or a shot with extra camera flash of some kind.

Because on the configurator it is referred to as "competition blue pearl coat"

Here's two ads at dealers that list it as "Competition Blue Pearlcoat":

    Weird.

It's pretty close to the Jeep.

Color changes a lot depending on the light. No metallic in there at all.

To me it looks a lot like Yas Marina blue on the new gen M3 and M4s, yet a bit darker. Personally not a huge fan but many love the color.

    I was leaning towards a bright cyan/teal, but now that I know it's non-metallic and non-pearl, I think it's the right color.

Kind of like the "TBird Blue" on my old 55 Thunderbird. Loved that color. Looks good on a Viper too. Different for sure.

Comp blue was the reason I got back in a Viper. And agree as above there is no pearl but it does change depending on lighting from a deep blue in the evening to a smurf blue in bright light. Difference is much more pronounced in picures than with your eye. With your eye it looks closer to the low light deep blue.

Also, as stated above, a lot of guys who fancy GTS blue really don't like this one, not sure why, have heard it from a few? But I do.

I reckon I looked at it from too far because I didn't notice it was.
