My First Visit to Detroit

I am sure that many of you ladies and gentlemen have been to Detroit several times in some capacity but about 3 weeks ago I had my first trip there on business. The two guys I was with asked me if there was anything I wanted to see while there and of course my first words were the Viper plant. They took me around to see the nice sections and the not so nice of the area and after seeing the Packard plant, we ended up in front of the Viper facility. Of course I made them stop so I could at least take a picture of the sign and little info sign they had out along the street.

Here's where the story gets amusing, as I am standing there taking the pictures, one of the guys says, "If I would have known you had a Viper I would have set up a tour for you in the plant as I know several guys in there that we work with...." I just turned and stared at him for a few seconds and then said quite bluntly, "You are now dead to me.". lol

So we made some plans for next time I came back to get a tour of the facility and of course last week he left the company I had visited, seems something's are just not meant to be. I did however get two pictures so at least I can say I was there.

Hopefully there is a tour next year before they close it for good.
