cool concept, but would rather have a street truck.

I think we'll see a Hellcat Ram in a year or two. They'll sell 'em like hotcakes.
I'm filing this in my brain under "cool but b.s." with the SRT Dart, SRT Durango and Trackhawk/Hellcat Grand Cherokee. This seems to happen every year a couple months before SEMA lol. I'll believe it when it's sitting in the showroom. I don't see many people other than us soon-to-be lost Viper folks coughing up that kind of cash on a pickup.
(I'm still waiting for my Supercharged Wrangler I saw on TV)
It's interesting to see it "only" has 575 hp. At full tilt the 707 must be destroying their AWD systems. I suspect this is them showing their cards at what the Hellcat Grand Cherokee will have for power when it finally comes out. Otherwise why lower the hp rating for a SEMA car when they could have cranked it up to 900 for show?
Still can't beat my SRT10
IMO.
The power wagon already comes with the big hemi. For me, that's plenty of power and the right truck as I go fishing and hiking a lot and need to get through some nasty stuff.
If they really want to take on the raptor, which I don't care for, this would be the truck. I always have issues with 60k dollar half tons. But if they are selling then, more power to them. I guess they could always take the "guts" and move them to the next body style which I am sure they have planned for.
This looks way better than the Raptor... I think the top engine in the Raptor is a Turbo 6 now. 37's stock and side exhaust... I love it...
i like it
THE IGNORE FEATURE WORKS, TRY IT...
Now we need a Hell Wagon!
575 hp for a Hellcat engine? How disappointing, not sure you could even call that a Hell anything. Sorry but that is as sad as a Gen V Viper with only 640 hp. Does anyone at FCA learn anything from past experiences? This is an off-road beast which is cool but it looks heavier than ever. Would sooner see them ramp up a Stage 2 Cummins diesel and market it as 1,000 lbs torque. This drivetrain combo underwhelms for how those off-road boys would really use it, IMHO.
Now if this was a street truck, then put in the gas motor and crank it up. A Hellcat motor is 707 period. Sorry but if they release the Trackhawk with anything less than 707, it is a failure. Charging $100k for a Cherokee Trackhawk with 575 hp, good luck with that.
This is one of two EXACT trucks (each had different colors) that were sitting outside the building as you left Chelsea during NVE1. The guys in the FCA mini van that road back to the parking lots with me saw them. This has been around since NVE1.
Willing to bet this will be production as seen but 575 is disappointing. Only good is for them to jump into competition. With only a v6 Raptor, they will steal some of those buyers no doubt.
I agree. I've always thought that nothing will ever replace a truck with a Viper motor in it, and for those who haven't driven one, it's a blast! Although if they ever come out with a street version again with a 707HP HellCat in it I may have to look at upgrading..... but they better still offer a 6 speed!
Still wish I never sold my SRT10 pick up. It was a lot of fun.
