    gas

Has anyone ever tried running mid range gas in their viper. If so, how did it respond?

I haven't ever run it, but... It will perform just fine as long as you aren't pushing very hard, or running in hot, low density air. G1 & 2 cars don't have knock sensors, so be very sensitive to the sounds of knock. An occasional ping or rattle is acceptable, but consistent knock is terrible for piston crowns, aluminum heads and rod bearings.

Why bother? I wouldn't do it just to save a few cents per gallon with such a special car.

Vipers are a such a special car? lol no they are just cars bro. You put put tires gas and oil in them and drive the snot out of them. Well, unless it's your garage queen polisher car.

Your octane rating needs to match your tune. If your are running the factory tune then you should run an octane that matches it or like Dean said, you risk detonation.

Do you know what octane is?

Why chance the detonation to save $1.50-3.00 a fill up?
