Gen 5 ACR rims on Gen 2

I have a friend with a 2002 RT/10. He loves the gen V ACR wheels. Will these fit on the '02? If so, what can you guys reccommend for tires on the car? He uses the car as a fair weather vehicle....few hours per week I'd say.

    Yes they will fit.

Tires, Pirelli Corsa's are, I believe, the stock tires for those wheels.

The stock tires for the ACR rims are the new Kumho Ecsta V720 ACR tires.....he has no interest in these tires as this 2002 roadster hardly sees the track.

I hope your buddy is prepared to pay. They're almost 7k for a set last I checked.

Actually they're cheaper than Michelins. Around $1500 for a set-

I have 19" wheels on my car with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and I love them. I would be very tempted to try the Kumho's out of curiosity but have zero complaints about the Michelins.

I ran Kumhos on my ACR over the summer. I really liked them, even had some track time in on then. Much improved over the SS. I would get Kumhos again for a street car.

Would there be any issues with the larger tire in the front rubbing anything? Keep in mind we're going from a 275-35-18 to a 295-25-19 sized tire and wheel. As well, I have looked, but couldn't find any tires that would fit other than the Kumhos.

Pilot Super Sports, Pirelli P Zero, Pirelli P Zero Corsa, Pilot Sport Cup 2 (allegedly), Toyo R888, Kumho V720 are all available in sizes that will work with the ACR wheels (275-295 front, 335-355 rear). The 295 on the front won't give you any problems. Note that with the 25 aspect ratio the tire is a bit shorter than stock.

I have them on mine. Running 345/30r19R and 295/30R19F. Lowered about 1" with no issues.

A 295/25/19 is actually shorter than a 275/35/18 (24.8" vs 25.6"). Of course tires vary by mfg even in the same size. I picked to run a 295/30/19 up front to have a little more sidewall and to help fill in fender gaps. Its only slightly taller than oem gen2 (26") and I have no rubbing.

I run Gen-V sized Forgeline VX1-6 wheels and 285/35-18 & 345/30-19 Super Sports. No rubbing or issues.
