He said that no stock Viper wheel was strong enough for the ACR-E but how do you know if an aftermarket wheel is strong enough?
I honestly have no idea, George. I guess you could send a company like HRE, Forgeline, etc. a stock ACR wheel and have them run it through their computer system that highlights where the most stress would be exerted on the wheel. After that, compare those figures to their wheels' numbers.

The Finspeed setup I posted earlier has 18X12 and 18X13 rims running 335/30/18 and 345/35/18 Hoosier A7s. Is there a particular reason you want a 19'' rear?

I guess the bottom line is to check the wheels for cracks periodically.

That would be probably be the easiest solution.

18" fit the calipers? I didn't expect that to be honest.
But why go 325 on front instead of the stock 295? That's a 30mm difference and unless the offset has changed you'd get some clearance issues.

Yes, they do fit. Guys like the 18'' rim because it allows them to use a wider variety of track oriented tires from semi slicks like Hoosiers to full slicks like the ones from Michelin and Pirelli.

The reason they've gone with a larger front tire is to reduce the understeer that some have experienced. Also, while it does take some adjustment, the guys seem to not be having issues with clearance once the cars are properly set up.

I think most people do it for the looks. Personally I don't like the 18" wheel in the front that leaves a larger gap all around in the front fender vs the rear 19" that fills the gap nicely. The gen V will be the first car I've had ever where I have no desire to upgrade the wheels because I like the sidewinders so much. I've considered having a 19 cut, narrowed and wielded to use for the front but I don't know if that would compromise strength/safety.

No rubbing. You get an occasional pebble caught between the caliper and the Wheel, but it is nothing I am worried about. Working great.

Easy enough to do a 19" rear. I also think that an 18X11 with a 315 is probably fine too. Forgeline, CCW, Finspeed all seem to have options.

Straase makes a similar design which is a much better wheel company than Iforged (so I'm told by a guy who I trust that's been in the wheel game for a while now)...
