Be sure to keep your stainless plug sleeves on the motor. It greatly protects the boots from searing exhaust heat.
Awesome. I just ordered a set; they claim to be in-stock. VSP and RSI are both out.

Can the plug wires be swapped without pulling the intake manifold? Just curious if it's even worth attempting.

I just bought a set from SCOTT (Summit Racing) for $135 w/shipping. I wish I had known that others had them available prior.

Gen 2 wires are the same way. My 60 y-o forearms were both scraped and bruised after doing 2 sets in 6 weeks. There's just nothing easy about them with the manifold on.

I just completed the spark plug wire swap. Sheesh, that was no fun at all. I don't know how you guys that wrench on cars regularly stay sane. I mean it is one thing to do a job, but another thing entirely to not destroy anything in the process. Thankfully, everything is intact and no scratches on the valve covers or any other damage.

Special thanks for SEASnake for posting those service manual pages! Sometimes just knowing the path makes a huge difference in getting to the destination.

One thing to note, the factory intake gaskets were leaking slightly. There was some oil residue on the gasket outside of the runner seals.
Another suggestion is to torque the bolts and then get the engine up to operating temp and then re-torque. I know it is routine but something to remember, several of mine were loose after the heat cycle.

I cannot imagine tearing the engine out or even swapping heads, ugh! I guess it is all in what you get used to and I never get used to wrenching on cars.

So are the Quality Wire better than the Magnecor? Seem pretty similar in price (expensive). Also what spark plug is everyone using? Can we go with an iridium plug? New owner here.... Don't know why but regular maintenance seems kinda intimidating on these cars vs. previous cars.
