20,000 is nothing for these cars. They arent 1996's - you can daily drive them. There are s lot of high mileage Gen 5's as should be.

Branded title on the other hand, run.

I was able to obtain the lengthy service history for this car. The most major warranty repair was an engine replacement at 4639 miles. But there are a lot of things on the history report. And yea- probably enough to justify it as a lemon law car had the original owner pushed for that.. The fact that the new engine has 15k miles on it without failure is a good sign I would think.

I'd say it's only worth about $2,000. We know these engines are all garbage, so at 20,000 miles it must be about to explode any minute. The rest of the car is just thrown together and the paint is sprayed on with aerosol cans in a dusty garage. Maybe bargain down to $1800 if they'll play ball.

I am not sure I would be trading out to a GEN V from your GTM. Your GTM is cool and you know what you have, no risk history. Reality is I am not sure you are gaining much. Nice car you have there.

Thanks. As fuggles mentioned (and thanks for digging up that ffcars thread) I did not build it originally, but I have pretty much rebuilt it all by now. Here are some more current pics and a walk around vid after i first got it running.

You're welcome. I've been on that forum for a couple of years. Watching and learning. I've wanted to build one for some time. That is until I saw fasthings video blog! lol
