Why? It's a stupid Viper thing. Porsche, Shelby, NSX, Supra, corvette all allow much higher mileage than the Viper. Its common to see Vipers with 3k miles 20 years old.
If you truly are buying to keep her then miles don't matter. Plus some motors have spun bearings and we haven't heard of one bearing failure at that level of mileage so that's a good sign.
