I had a thought. I was looking at the key fob from my 2012 Jeep. It's got the key and alarm fob all in on one. I tried the key in my Gen 2 GTS and it fits.
My question is, Can you program a modern Chrysler alarm fob to work a 1996 Viper? And if so, how?

Not sure how "modern", but I did get the dealer to program a newer Viper embossed key fob to my 97.

I would love to be able to use this key fob for my gen 1. Wonder if its possible to reprogram this. (Sorry to the OP that I don't have an answer)
