Any recommendation anyone for where to find racing brake pads for carbon ceramic brakes? Dealer nor Concierge can find anything, even from Brembo. Is the only way to replace pads with OEM parts, though the lifespan is very short?

Have you checked with Jon B at Parts Rack? He usually has everything.
I know of no other choice in compound and FYI, why do you say lifespan is short? I've gone through 3 sets of fronts and one set rears and about 30% of front pads so far. Total track time at speed is over 6 hours (I should keep a better log, could be more like 8 hours). Compared to other big power heavy cars I am pretty happy with the wear; e.g. it's better than my GT3.
And I'd worry about compound hurting the very expensive rotors. Pads should be available for $600-ish an axle set (my spare set cost me $1200 for all 4 corners). The Pagids I put on my GT3 were $400 an axle set, so not much cheaper for iron.
What kind of wear are you getting?
quoted from another thread....... from Mark Jorgensen @ Woodhouse.
Pagid makes all the CCB compounds for the brake manufacturers, I tracked down an engineer that sent me this when I asked the question:
"Hello Mark,
That is only 0.03” thinner than the Corvette pad and should fit. Part number for the front pad is 8091 RSC1, the rear is 4906 RSC1. See attached drawings.
We are having good success with the RSC1 compound, mainly Ferrari, Corvette and Porsche applications. It is mostly street use and track days because due to sporting rules which usually only allow cast iron brakes we don’t see many in real racing. Only the Camaros in Pirelli World Challenge use them in racing and even there we don’t see any excessive rotor wear.
MSRP for the front pads 8091 RSC1 is $729
MSRP for the rear pads 4906 RSC1 is $407
Please see pagidracing.com for a distributor.
If you have any more questions please let me know.
Thank you"
Although I was also told that the compounds used were slightly different and brake balance could be a factor along with accelerated rotor wear so they did not exactly give the green light safety wise.
Compounds for the ACR are 4300 front and 600 rear if you are looking for comparative products.
I have a set of experimental Pagid race pads if someone wants to try a different front, but like I said they have not been used on the Vipers rotors at track speeds so rotor wear can be accelerated so try at your own risk.
I just received an email from Pagid yesterday,
"Thank you for the inquiry.
The Viper uses the same pad shapes as the C7 Corvette. Front pad is 8091 RSC1 and rear pad is 4906 RSC1.
MSRP 8091 RSC1 = $729
MSRP 4906 RSC1 = $407
Pads are in stock in the US, please see pagidracing.com for an US distributor."
Hope this helps.
Thank you so much Tay and BDZ1984!
Have contacted Pagid distributors and I am also considering HardBrakes (https://hardbrakes.com/) as an add-on solution. Any experience with this product?
OK so since it appears to be ok I have 4 sets of fronts on the way if anyone is interested, will be here 1st of the week.
Thanks,
Are the factory pads not up to the "racing" task? Seem like all the ACR track guys here are very happy with the factory pads. I just ordered a set from Jon B today! http://www.viperpartsrack.com/
