    Corded Corsa would be my guess...... lol. Seeing as the Cups are no longer available.

    I'm on Corsa's. I hate these tires. They wear way faster than the Pilot Sport Cups, don't feel as good on the track and I'm about 2.5 seconds slower a lap.
    They wear faster AND are slower. Not what I'm looking for. They did cost less but with the faster wear they may end up costing more.

    Anyway, the drive was fun, there's very, very little traffic up north and the scenery is mostly just boreal forest so..... Well, you can really enjoy the drive..... You really need to pay attention to the road for rough spots.
    Anyway, I'm in Hay River now. There's almost a line up to look at the car. It's a bit of a hit here.

    Wow Hay River...That is a fair ways north. I definitely believe there would be a line up to see that beast!! Im surprised that they have paved roads up there lol!

    Except for construction, the roads are paved. The highways are paved all the way to Hay River. The roads in town are also paved but there's the odd bit that is gravel - but only for a few dozen feet. It's a very small town, 3k people, 1 unnecessary stoplight and only 4 hours away from the nearest Tim Hortons. The ACR splitter is really low, and really expensive ($10k+) so you really need to watch for ridges and pot holes.
    So far I've had no issues whatsoever.

    I bought my car to drive and enjoy it - that's what I'm doing. I have a few other vehicles I could've driven up here but the ACR was just sitting there, looking awesome and, as always, ready to go. So I took it. It really is a lot of fun to be on a highway with almost zero traffic. Sometimes I'll drive for an hour and see not one other vehicle.

    Tomorow I'm driving towards Yellowknife to see some waterfalls. There are 2 large falls right on the Hay River not too far from town and I already went to those so tomorrow I'm heading further north - all the way to Lady Evelyn Falls.

    Rain yesterday - sometimes very heavy. Hydroplane puddles on the roadway. We went for an adventure anyway, about 350km total for the day.

    We went to see 2 waterfalls to the north of Hay River going toward Yellowknife.
    First we went to McNallie Falls. Very nice. It's a small waterfall into a broad, deep pool.

    Then we headed further north to Lady Evelyn Falls which are large falls with a large volume of water - and zero people. It's about 10k off the main highway which itself is lightly travelled. Everything up here is remote so being alone is more likely than not.

    Lady Evelyn Falls are beautiful so we spent some time there then headed further into the boreal forest to Kakisa. A small aboriginal village. No pavement, and despite a sign that said otherwise, no services including no fuel.

    Premium is almost impossible to find, even in Hay River but I did find one place to get it. So far I've managed to find premium for every fill in the ACR but that hasn't been the case when I've gone exploring the north on my motorcycle. Your choice is either gas or diesel.

    Anyway, despite the straight rather rough roads, I've really been enjoying the car up here.

    Looks like a blast. Weather pending, I'll be doing a Viper US Way North (Glacier National) and then on to Canada Way South (Banff, Lake Louise) the last week of September or first week of October. Total trip miles should be around 3500.

    I've lived in that area my whole life - in Calgary. I rode one of my motorcycles through Glacier Park just 2 weeks ago.
    I'll be in Moab, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico with my Hummer H1 when you're visiting or I'd show you some cool sights.
    Banff and Lake Louise are wonderful! If you can, take the Icefield Parkway north towards Jasper at least as far as the Columbia Icefields. Go walk on a glacier! I've been to 109 countries and the Icefield Parkway is, by my judgement, the 2nd most beautiful place I've been.
    Just west of Lake Louise is Field, BC. Just north of Field is Takawkaw Falls. Takawkaw Falls are worth a visit and when you're in that area stop at the spiral tunnels. They're right on the Trans Canada Highway between Lake Louise and Field. Way cool.

    You're going to have a great trip! I'm actually helping another car club (Shelby's) plan a trip through that area. No, I don't own a Shelby but I do have a Mustang race car.

    One more thing, between Glacier and Banff, take the Highwood Pass (Canada's highest paved road) from Longview on Hwy 22 to the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy 1). STUNNING! My favourite day trip from Calgary.
