The real answer is ....no. Folks will guess or tell you what theirs did, but over almost 20 years I have seen cars start the next week after going to D1 , and other times no movement for 2-4 months.

But all you have to consider is all the cars have to be done by August 31st , so that gives you an end date.

Bill, is that a for sure end date for CAAP, all manufacturers or does it vary?

Typically how accurate is the estimated ship date? Currently in D1 status. VIN# 110

Read prior posts --- Estimated date of delivery is worthless, imho, on a Viper as it is computer generated with the same system as for normal production cars. 95% of the time it is not even close ( based on selling these beauties for close to 20 years ).

Got word I am in G status as of last Monday. Car was ordered in June by the dealer. Put a deposit down in January. Estimated ship date is 5/10 so it looks like it's pretty accurate from the factory. All in all, 5 month total build time.

I was at the plant on Friday. I saw 500-700 VINs rolling down the line.

Again, please keep in mind the Estimated Ship date is a computer generated time used for all FCA vehicles ( the rest going down conventional , robotic production lines ) and is rarely accurate for a Viper. Obviously you are only in trim status and the car is not likely to even be finished by next week. Better to figure you might see the car in June and then you will be much happier and not concerned. Just trying to assist as Dealers who have sold these beasts for years never tell the customer the estimated date as it has almost no value in reality. Not being a jerk, just wanting to give you a real assessment so you don't wonder why the car is so far beyond the estimate.

i know of a least 1 of the special editions that will be built around the 15 of august. a few days from the end of production.

My dealer was told my ship date was July 3rd, but might not be concrete date.About 10 days ago they told him the car was in the "frame stage" . SSG acr SE. How long does it take to get from Detroit to Alberta? I am assuming they will be trying to ship a bunch of western Canada cars on the same truck...

They ship the cars full cube as I understand it, 5 or 6 per reliable truck. My 1 of 1 took almost 8 weeks until it arrived at the dealer in Alberta.

I did a plant tour ten days ago and saw about four GTS R and six Snake Skin cars in final inspection. I also saw two VooDoo cars on the line. So to answer your question, no.

I was on the tour as well. They wouldn't tell us a number but said it should be around mid-800s for production this year.
