Roanoke posted this on Facebook today. D'ann was picking up her car. Great shot of a GTS-R with a Dealer Edition & 1:28 behind it!

Which car is D'Ann's? Wayne and D'Ann must have over 80 Vipers now. When we stopped there on the way back from New Orleans they were in the 70's.

So I just got confirmation that my GTS-R is in "trim status", car is already framed. Does anyone know how long more or less before the car will be fully assembled? How soon after that before it's shipped? This is a surprise, didn't expect it this early.

    Thanks!

Hmm... so I guess cars are assembled in way that is non-linear even after production starts, huh. I guess if this is the case I can expect the car to arrive anywhere between end of March and May?

Mine arrived at VE today. I wonder if the ACR wing delays the factory had pushed mine through quicker than expected.

    Official order: 10/3
    Arrived @ dealer: 1/9

Hope to pick it up this weekend!

Received an update on my GTS-R. Car is completed and in the 'audit' phase as of last week. Excepted delivery got bumped up from May to beginning of March. One month to go.

Ordered 1of1 on Oct 8. Just went into D status last week. No VIN yet. Delay was on my end in color selection.
So what is the best guess for build timing?

  19. #294
    5or 6 more months

Have vin# 568 waiting to hear when start date is. Ordered on Sept. 15 no contact yet. 1of1 ACR/E . What is D status?

Viper SRT -- you have a Vin , call your Dealer. It can not go to D status without a Vin.

In reality with a Viper most of the letters seem to be skipped , as it is not a normal production line , so once it goes to D1, the normal progression is E, then jumps right to G, and then I ( normally called Final Inspection , when the exact term is Pending Final Inspection). Once it goes to J once can usually assume it has passed and likely actually is in storage, though one will occasionally see a Viper actually listed in JS. Ebb and flow , a movement to J, is normally followed by a KZ designation ------ pretty much ends there as the other notations are based on rail shipments and we know Vipers come via Reliable Carriers. Normally , even when delivered to a Dealer the KZ designation stays ( occasionally it will show a KZX ,but it is actually infrequent).

Big key for Viper owners, is once in D you will have a Vin number.

Only 180 days until status DE, or Dinosaur extinction.
