2017 VIN numbers, build dates and expected deliveres

To those expecting owners: how do you intend to accept delivery if in a region with freezing temp or snow? Seat belts and prayers?

Should be 60s-70s all winter here.

I'm going to do a plant pick up on my GTS-R which looks like it could be in the middle of winter now haha.

I own a 21000sq ft shop...move a few of my trucks around, should be able to make a few short bursts...so anytime my ordered 1:28 limited edition decides to show up...snow, ice , hell or high water...I'm ready!!!!

I think they will only deliver to places it's warm during winter, unless the delivery truck is heated. It says on the details for the tires not to use or store them below or near freezing. I was told the same about the dunlop star specs, basically they are done if you let them freeze.

Dealer called Monday. He said it had just gone to D1 status. Had been in D status since about 9/26. Said I have an expected ship date of February 2nd. VIN 00360. I ordered it August 24th. Gunmetal pearl, ACR-E, brass monkey wheels, all carbon fiber options. red stitching and belts. I am in CT. Can't wait to look at it in my garage for a few months...!

Please remember ---- estimated shipping dates , for Vipers , are virtually never correct , as they are computer generated like all FCA production cars. Tell your Dealer to keep you posted as to when the build actually starts and then you will get a more accurate idea of when it may be done. Since it has had a Vin since September, sure it could be there in February, but the best way to judge the timeframe is to have him call you when it starts , but it appears it is also a One of One , so the Concierge Team will be in touch with you and that is a great barometer of the build status.

Keep in mind , the Plant shuts down for two weeks in December , so that is a major delay engine for building, since one ramping back up that means they are already behind.

Well, then you will need to have your Dealer stay on top of the build for you , as the Concierge Team only contacts those with the One of Ones. Good luck and congrats.

Do we have any updates as to when the special editions will begin delivery? March to August? Factory is now closed until January, anyone know if they have built a car yet?

Heard the Plant will stay open till the 21st, so a bit more time, but we have already gotten some of the GTSRs and 1:28s and imagine other Dealers have also, so...............some of the Limited Edition Models are already beginning Deliveries.

Need to go to www.woodhousemotorsports.com or Woodhouse Motorsports Division on Facebook as Mark Jorgensen is always posting something interesting. I am listed on Facebook , but actually have not posted for 4-5 years, but Mark is avid on it and is a heck of a lot more interesting than me,ha.

I would imagine there have been a reasonable number of GTSRs out, as well as 1:28s ( since we have had two and two more are waiting in the wings at the Plant ) , but it appears that the Vooodoos have not begun, nor have the Snakeskin Green ACRs ( don't know about the SSG Coupes as we did not order any ).

Thanks for the link, surprised I haven't seen any for sale on Autotrader. I'm assuming not all of them went directly to private customers. Placed my order in Toronto, I hear there's no Viper delivery in Canada during the winter months so looks like it's not happening until March or later.

From what I understand Canadian orders will start to be built at the end of January, we'll see if that holds true as the date approaches.

Beautiful color combinations! I initially wanted that interior for my Stryker Purple but didn't seem to be a good match. Looks perfect with your car though.

Just got information that my GTS-R will be ready for shipment 12/23 but with the factory closing it will be delayed a week.

Can you or anyone else tell me how many weeks does it take for the car to be completed after production begins? I take it cars are shipped out on a weekly basis from there? Would like to know when to expect it to arrive at the dealership if production is beginning last week of January for me.
