2017 VIN numbers, build dates and expected deliveres

Anyone game for compiling a list of when ordered, when they got their VIN, and when the car went into "almost shipping" status? I still haven't gotten my VIN, and it's been a few weeks. I expected that - but I sure would like to know when the clock starts ticking.

Anyone game for compiling a list of when ordered, when they got their VIN, and when the car went into "almost shipping" status? I still haven't gotten my VIN, and it's been a few weeks. I expected that - but I sure would like to know when the clock starts ticking.

Martin, I think you and I are on about the same time line. I first put an "order" into the system in July as part of getting my paint color samples (the plastic speedforms and cards). Those paint samples arrived towards the end of August and I made my selection and turned the previous order "official" on 8-31-2016. Both Bernie and Courtney have estimated delivery on the car as March of 2017, although they both are quick to say that this is only a guess based on their experience, and that they have no inside knowledge of how things will actually flow through CAAP. I have not heard back on a VIN yet either, as of today just have my VON, and have no idea when it will mature to a VIN assigned. I am kind of expecting my car March or April next year, which is fine with me because it provides time to figure out my parking space shortage and negotiate options with the boss/wife.

Hahaha - sounds like we're in the exact same situation I've also got a parking space shortage, and I'm kind of hoping the car doesn't get delivered till April/May so that I don't have to leave it out in the rain too much. I'm planning on building a new garage (36' X 36' with 12' walls) that should accommodate all the toys and a lift, but I have to deal with the local planning department Nazis. Also got to empty out my existing garage that I'm going to demo - and that is going to be a chore with all the crap that I've got stored in there (along with some old muscle cars that are definite non-runners at this time).

I was given a "maybe nine months" estimate for final delivery, so I guess the timing might work out. I was definitely yearning for the car this weekend, though - the weather was perfect and I miss having something really fun to drive.

I put my final order in 3 months ago. VIN is 5000083. Car is being prepared for shipment. Pretty fast I think for 1 of 1.

So there is actually a difference it looks like between stryker green and SSG. I was trying to figure if my car would be stryker green and the only thing special was the snake scale stripes, or if the green was a special green. Its so hard to see any difference just looking at digital pictures and renderings.

#324 my vin was assigned Sep 2nd (4 weeks ago). They still haven't started production yet. Concierge said we still have a while till start. Is this normal? From above posts you're getting cars 3-4 months after vin assigned. ??

Nothing started on my car until 6 weeks after the VIN assignment. From there it went pretty fast. This said, the lead times might be longer now too.
