    Looking for tire recommendation for GEN II BBS Wheels

    Hello, I'd like to keep my BBS wheels on my 99 GTS ACR but I'm not seeing many tire choices. What tires are you Gen II guys running on your stock rims when you change them? Thanks in advance!

    Toyo R888's. I have the BBS's too.

    Currently running the Kumho V-710, now also discontinued. I will likely run the BFG R-1S or the Hoosier A-7. Yes as a street tire. I don't put enough miles on the car to worry about mileage and I don't drive in the rain. The other big factor is that the Toyo sidewall exposes the rim edge due to its narrower width, something I don't dig at all, and is a noisy tire.
    The 710's are the first tire that I've used, that hook and are truly street legal, unlike the Hoosiers.

    I'm running Nitto 555's up front and 555R's in the rear on a Gen 1... Had to go to a 315/35/17 for the rear but they work out fine for the drag strip. I also have a pair on the back of my Lightning, love 'em

    How do the drag radials do handling curves? I'm using the tires more for the street than strip. I want some good grip in the corners. Thanks

    Not so good on a few Mustangs I've driven. I'd go with R888s.

    Apparently the Nitto NT01 is also available. Might be a great choice.

    Seriously your best bet might be to call Luke Pavlik at ext 4362 , Tirerack.com. He has been helping Viper owners with tires since 1999 and he can tell what he considers the best tire at this moment for your Snake.

    I like the NT01 A LOT better than the R888. It's more stable, consistent, faster, and better in the wet. I totally forgot the NT01 came in a 335/30-18 rear, since I just looked up the NT05 that is only 315 wide.

    Go with the NT01, which TireRack does not sell.

    I have a set of PS2 with very low miles on them I would sell. Always stored in heated garage.

    What's crazy is that the Nitto tire fitment App. claims no fitment for the later Gen II Viper's. I don't get it. The tire they sell IS the Viper size tire. I mean the 335 was originally designed for the Viper and no other, have they no knowledge of the past.

    The 1999 Diablo had the same size 335/35-18 as the 99 Viper, and the Countach had a 345 a decade before the RT/10

    Got it, but still the 335 is the Viper tire from '92 -'01! Anyway, the NT-01 sounds like a great option!
